L.O.G.

Need "Lots of Gain"? Look no further!

The L.O.G is our second 500 series mic preamp offering, conceived for use in high gain applications. With up to 86 dB of gain, the L.O.G is ready to boost up input signals of all kinds, whether from a low output ribbon mic, passive DI, or a classic condenser. The input stage uses high precision transistors to amplify the incoming signal while minimizing noise. Users can then engage the HPF, get an optimal impedance match, or add an extra 20dB of low noise gain via the Turbo feature.  Our output stage uses a MOSFET, subtly enhancing the signal with 2nd order harmonics for a smooth, pleasant saturation you can fine tune to taste. Finally, the signal passes through the air gapped output transformer, with front panel control to select between the two taps for different tone options. The fader control passively attenuates signals in preparation for the next step in your signal chain.

Customization

We are pleased to offer customization options, including altering the slope of the HPF to 12dB/octave, adjusting the frequency range of the HPF, and changing the amount of fixed gain in the Turbo function.

Audio Samples

We had a great time recording some audio samples of the L.O.G with Mayfly at Orb Recording Studios. They played "In My Garden", which we recorded with L.O.G.'s across the full band. You can listen to the multitracks on this SoundCloud playlist, or download the Pro Tools session and complete set of multitracks here
